We love Coldplay, dan mendengar kabar bahwa Chris Martin dkk akan merilis single baru yang dibuat khusus untuk film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, We just can't wait any longer.
And finally the time has arrived! Single yang diberi tajuk Atlas ini akhirnya dirilis 6 September 2013, diundur dari rencana awal yang harusnya rilis di bulan Agustus. Atlas sendiri merupakan single pertama yang dibuat oleh Coldplay khusus untuk soundtrack film, karena sebelumnya Coldplay belum pernah terjun untuk membuat soundtrack di film apapun. And it's worth the wait, pasca Mylo Xyloto 2011 silam, akhirnya Coldplayers senang dengan Atlas yang kembali mendulang nostalgia akan Parachutes (2000) dan juga A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002).
Dentingan piano begitu terasa di single yang berdurasi hampir 4 menit ini, Truth to be told, i'm not really a big fan of The Hunger Games, but then again we're talking about Coldplay & the Oscar Winner, Jennifer Lawrence, like, Who couldn't resist? Personally, single ballad ini selalu menciptakan image akan Katniss yang sedang berada di padang rumput yang luas, di kaki gunung, dan akhirnya sampai ke puncak gunung. Let's just wait for the details, shall we?
